GYPA contracted an Administrator on July 16, 2001. The Administrator
conducts all related business to continue the completion of the commercial
port and related development surrounding the new Port-of-Entry as the Board
of Directors decide.
Presently the GYPA Administrator is Colonel
James P. Chessum, USMC (Ret.) with a degree in Business Administration and
background in Aviation, Support, Environmental, Planning, and Resource uses.
He is a Yuma resident retired in 1996 from MCAS El Toro, California,
having resided in Yuma since August 1991. He is a Rotarian, a member of the
local MOAA Chapter, a YMCA Board Member, and supporter of other local community
non profits, i.e., ARC, Hospice of Yuma.
